Pursuit of reported incidents of animal cruelty &/or neglect
and the taking of appropriate protective action as determined by the Society Investigator.
Providing care for adoptable animals that are injured, abused, unwanted & abandoned, whenever possible.
Spaying and neutering all animals to be adopted to reduce the unwanted animal population.
Your Humane Society/SPCA saves adoptable animals from Animal Control, while raising the funds to build Florida’s First “Green” Animal Shelter in Sumter County.
It provides humane care in foster homes, animal cruelty investigations,
public education, "Kibble on Wheels" and “The Big Fix” Free Spay/Neuter Programs.
It operates one of the nation's few DART (Disaster Animal Rescue Teams)
